Thanks Doc!
A man who told his doctors that he drinks more than a six-pack of beer per day is now fighting to get his driver's license back because the physicians apparently reported him to the state.
Keith Emerich, 44, said Tuesday that he disclosed his drinking habit in February to doctors who were treating him at a hospital for an irregular heartbeat.

Yo sandwich man, this one shocked me too. I hope he sues the pants off the doctor, as I can't imagine that not being a violation of doc/patient privilege. I liked the good old days, when doctors were smoking, philandering alkies you could really talk to. Living near the med school, all I see are healthy, jogging sorts with attitudes... Hey link me up on your blog and show me how to do the same...
Ah fer f*ck's sake... that's just evil. How many of us would have our licenses snatched away, I wonder?
I'm sure the legislation seemed very sensible at the time. In fact many people would have no problem with doctors fowarding medical info to government officials.
BTW Brian, the link to your blog is hidden under "links" in column on the left of the main RSR page.
